About ANGA: Gigabit.Television.Online

Shaping the future together – that is the goal of the broadband association ANGA and its members. The association represents companies that are investing billions of euros in the expansion of their own fibre optic networks and in the lifelines for successful digitalization. Our members include nationwide as well as regional and local providers. Members include Vodafone, Tele Columbus (PŸUR), Telekom Deutschland, Deutsche Glasfaser, EWE TEL, NetCologne, M-net, willy.tel, wilhelm.tel, DNS:NET and a large number of technology suppliers. Today, they cover around 80 percent of the FTTH subscriber.

ANGA advocates the right political and regulatory framework conditions for competition and innovation – and ensures fair content access. The association is involved in negotiations with the copyright collecting societies. As a result, member companies receive cost-effective model license agreements for the retransmission of television and radio programmes. The association also advocates for its members on media policy issues.

Through a subsidiary, we organize the ANGA COM – Europe’s leading trade fair and congress for Broadband, Television & Online (www.angacom.de), which recorded 470 exhibitors and 22,000 participants in 2023.

Why ANGA?

  • Comprehensive expertise on broadband topics

Whether legislative initiatives, regulation, market situation, technical standards and challenges or sustainability – ANGA deals with all important topics relating to broadband, gigabit and fiber optic expansion.

  • TV and media: fair access to content

ANGA is the only telecommunications association that ensures fair access to TV and radio programs for its member companies. The association also deals with media law issues.

  • Communication with politics, science and the press

We represent the broadband industry in Berlin, Bonn and Brussels. Our industry knowledge, technical expertise and straightforward positioning make us an important point of contact for companies as well as for politics, science and the press.
